Myanmar earthquake moved ground up to 20 ft sideways, shows satellite pic

The 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar, which claimed over 3,700 lives, caused sideways displacement of up to 20 feet in some places, NASA said. In NASAโ€™s satellite pic, red dots indicate northward motion and blue ones show southward movement of ground. The earthquake likely resulted from strike-slip motion along Sagaing Fault, at interface between Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, NASA said.
